President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington DC, the United States of America on Tuesday (05/10) at 21.40 local time.
The Garuda Indonesia aircraft with flight code GIA-1 the President and First Lady boarded arrived after a 24-hour flight from Jakarta with a transit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
After the aircraft doors were opened, the Indonesian Ambassador to the USA Rosan Roeslani entered the aircraft and invited President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana to disembark. Once they are on the airstairs, the Ambassador and his wife welcomed the President and the First Lady.
Afterward, the President and his entourage headed to their hotel and will carry out their work agenda the next day.
The President and the First Lady were welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi upon arrival at their hotel.
Joining the President and the First Lady in this working visit are Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi, and Minister of Investment/Head of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia.
